About Us

Dr. Lydia Salama, DDS is a Board Certified Orthodontist. In addition to her private practice, she is a faculty member at both Bronxcare Health System and Jacobi Medical Center. Dr. Salama completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University Durham, NC graduating with a B.S in Biology. She completed her Dental education at New York University. Following her graduation from Dental school, she completed two years of general practice residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Dr. Salama practiced as a general dentist for several years prior to completing a three year specialty program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital. Desiring to further her education beyond her training in the specialty program, Dr. Salama completed a two year Surgical Orthodontics fellowship at Jacobi Medical Center making her proficient in treating cleft lip/palate patients and others needing orthodontic treatment in addition to surgery of the jaws. Dr. Salama is a highly trained Orthodontist capable of treating the most complex cases.
