Early Treatment
Early treatment sometimes referred to as interceptive treatment or phase I treatment is done on younger children before all permanent teeth have erupted in the mouth usually between the ages of six and ten. This includes such treatments as expanders, habit breakers, face masks, appliances designed to hold space for erupting teeth amongst others. Frequently phase II treatment is needed when a patient is a little older and most or all of the permanent teeth have erupted. Schedule a consultation appointment with Dr. Salama if your child’s dentist has diagnosed a problem which needs such treatment. Dr. Salama also welcomes second opinion consultation visits.
